Social and Regional Inequalities in Maternal Respiratory Syncytial Virus Vaccination in France
This cross-sectional study found that during its first campaign in France, the national vaccination rate with RSVpreF vaccine was 27.2%, which was lower than reported rates in the US, although US data are not fully representative.
Despite full reimbursement, pronounced social and geographic disparities were evident, reflecting persistent inequities in access to maternal immunization.
These disparities underscore missed opportunities for disadvantaged groups, underlying the need for targeted communication and outreach during the upcoming 2025 to 2026 vaccination campaign.
